Introduction:
-As we engage ourselves in prayer during this month of Prayer, allow to suggest to us that we should approach God with an aim of getting our prayers answered.
-The joy of every farmer is to get a harvest as results of his or he labor. The joy of every laborer is to get results for his labor. The joy of every prayer warrior is to get his or her prayers answered.
Jesus gave a formula for getting rewards for our prayers.
- Prayer is mandatory (verse 5)
- Prayer is a personal affair (verse 6)
The word “you” in verse 6 is not in plural form
- Prayer is more of a fellowship rather than an opportunity to ask or demand things from God
- Prayer happens in the environs of relationships.

-Jesus wanted His disciples to realize that they had an origin and that their origin was God.
