GOD IS GREAT

Introduction

God’s greatness is revealed in His actions, His provision, and His faithfulness to His people.

From our main text, we see that:

  • God delivered the Israelites from slavery to freedom.
  • He did not only save them, but He also continued to provide for them in the wilderness.

Understanding the Greatness of God

God’s greatness is seen in:

  • His power to deliver
  • His ability to provide
  • His faithfulness to His promises

Lessons from Exodus 16

1. God is Our Deliverer

  • God rescued the Israelites from bondage.
  • He is still able to deliver us from every form of oppression today.

2. God is Our Provider

  • Even in the wilderness, God provided food (manna) for His people.
  • This shows that God can provide even in difficult and unlikely situations.

3. Avoid Complaining—Remember God’s Goodness

  • The Israelites complained despite God’s faithfulness.
  • Before we murmur or complain, we should:
    • Reflect on what God has already done
    • Count our blessings

4. God Rewards Those Who Trust in Him

(Psalm 34:10)

  • Those who seek and serve the Lord will lack no good thing.

Examples of God’s Greatness

  • The Plagues in Egypt
    • God demonstrated His power by delivering Israel from Pharaoh.
  • Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego
    • God preserved them in the fiery furnace, showing His power to save.

Conclusion

God is truly great:

  • He delivers
  • He provides
  • He protects
  • He remains faithful

Therefore, let us trust Him, serve Him, and always remember His goodness—because His greatness is evident in every season of our lives.
