Introduction

Brethren, we have been called to experience the power of God. As Christians, we cannot succeed without His power.

  • The power of God is the driving force behind everything a believer does.
  • The Bible is full of men and women who achieved great things through God’s power.
  • Every believer is entitled to a measure of God’s power, though the degree may vary from person to person.

The Dangers of Lacking the Power of God

1. The Danger of Irrelevancy

(Matthew 5:13)

  • Without God’s power, we lose our spiritual effectiveness and purpose.

2. The Danger of Lack of Impact

  • A powerless life produces little or no change in others.

3. The Danger of Lack of Influence

(Isaiah 29:13)

  • Without power, our faith becomes superficial and lacks authority.

Purpose of the Power of God

Why do we need the power of God?

How to Experience the Power of God

1. By Being Connected to the Source

(John 15:4–5)

  • We must remain in Christ, who is the source of all power.

2. By Exercising Compliance (Obedience)

Areas of Compliance:

  • Prayer
    • Prayer builds our capacity to carry God’s power.
  • Practicing the Word of God
    • Obedience to Scripture aligns us with God’s will.

3. By Believing in the Gospel

(Romans 1:16)

  • The Gospel itself is the power of God for salvation.
