What is Character

• Character: Qualities which make a person different from another.
• Character can also refer to qualities or traits that define an individual’s moral and ethical nature, such as honesty, integrity, bravery, kindness and so on.

Why do we need Christ-like characters?

1. Character reveals one’s identity (Matthew 7:16–18)
2. Character reflects one’s ownership (Ephesians 4:1–21)
3. Character denotes one’s reputation (Job 1:8)

How to develop Christ-like characters

• 1. Through Training (Matthew 11:29 & 1st Timothy 4:6–8; Ephesians 4:22–24; Romans 12:2)
  • Transformation through the renewing of the mind is essential for developing a Christ-like character, and this comes through training in the word, and yielding to the Spirit.

• Watch your thoughts, they become your words
• Watch your words, they become your actions
• Watch your actions, they become habits
• Watch your habits, they become character
• Watch your character, for it becomes your destiny
