Definition of Attitude
Attitude is the manner of feeling and behavior.
Introduction
Human beings possess attitudes, which can either be:
- Positive (good attitude)
- Negative (bad attitude)
- Our attitude determines how we respond to situations in life.
- We respond to life’s challenges based on the attitude we carry.
Attitude can either be:
- Our best friend, or
- Our worst enemy
This is because:
- Attitude is the posture of our hearts
- It is the lens through which we view life
Attitude is also:
- The direction we choose when challenges arise
- A major factor that shapes our lives
Characteristics of a Christ-like Attitude
A Christ-like heart is marked by the following qualities:
1. Compassion
- Showing love, care, and concern for others.
2. Humility
- Having a lowly and teachable spirit.
3. Patience
What is Patience?
- The ability to control oneself when angered
- The ability to endure pain or unpleasant situations without complaining
Patience is:
- A fruit of the Holy Spirit
- A requirement for every believer

The Benefits of Patience
Not every challenge we face is meant to destroy us.

The Danger of Impatience
- Lack of patience can ruin our lives.
- It can deny God the opportunity to fight for us.

4. Obedience
(Philippians 2:8)
- Jesus was fully aligned with the will of God, even unto death.
- His obedience was motivated by love for humanity.
(John 15:13) — True love is shown through sacrifice.
5. Servanthood
- A Christ-like attitude is expressed through serving others.
- It reflects humility, love, and selflessness.
